Can I read a book in a concert?

I'm going to hear an orchestra play Beethoven's 7th tomorrow night but the stuff on the first half of the bill looks really boring. Am I allowed to take along a book to read during the first half? I think it'll be OK as background music but I don't really want to completely 'listen to it'.
