Are there any Americans who want monarchy instead of republic?

I once heard a Methodist minister preach a sermon whose thesis was that America would have been greater if it had not rebelled against Mother England, and I came away more than a little shocked. Most Americans are unrepentant royal watchers, but we also like distancing ourselves from living under a constitutional monarchy and prefer a republican form of government instead.
