Moving to ATL things needed? and advice?

Just planning ahead for summer 2011. Im going to gsu for college i currently live in NY. Im just trying to get everthing ready. Its rigfht now just me and my boyfreidn. I want to get an apt somewhere downtown atl off campus so he can stay with me. Only things i can think of right now is the apt of curse and things to go in it. I already have a car but what other things should i be planning ahead for. I also need to fund a job there what else? and any other advice
