How do you turn wireless capability on the advent milano 7?

I turned on my laptop and the light for the wireless signal was turned off. When I troubleshoot the problem it says for me to turn on the wireless capability on which is located at the front or side of your computer or the function keys 'if available', when I press F3 ( it has the wireless sign on it) it brings up a search program. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me how to turn on the capability for the wireless signal :)
